Ho Chi Minh City continues to strengthen relationship with Cambodia

During a reception for Cambodian Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Sok Dareth on February 1, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen thanked Cambodia in general and Consul General Sok Dareth in particular for their support to the city during the difficult period due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Secretary Nguyen Van Nen expressed his hope that in the future, the two sides will make efforts to cultivate a better relationship between the two countries in general, and between Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
Mr. Sok Dareth said that the 3 years and 4 months of his previous working term were very memorable for him. This was the first time he had accepted a mission abroad, and he received enthusiastic support from the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee as well as the city leaders so that he could devote himself to complete his duties and cultivate good friendship between the two countries.
He also affirmed that the strong cooperative relationship between the two countries for 55 years had never been so good and agreed with Secretary Nen in making joint efforts to tighten ties.
He also said that there are many Cambodians living, studying and working in Ho Chi Minh City, who have long received attention and support from the city.
He expressed his hope that Ho Chi Minh City will recover more and more strongly after the pandemic, especially in the economic field, and Cambodia always welcomes and hopes that in the future there will be more businesses from Ho Chi Minh City to invest in Cambodia./.
