The program provides Lao and Cambodian students who have recently completed their Vietnamese language course with essential skills, effective study techniques, and the necessary knowledge to help them integrate smoothly into university life in Vietnam. It also serves as an opportunity for students to connect with their Vietnamese peers.
As part of the program, students participate in discussion sessions, sharing experiences with "5-Good Student" awardees at the city level, as well as with notable Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City. The guests shared inspiring journeys of learning, growth and aspirations to contribute to the development of their homelands, while also promoting solidarity and understanding among the three nations.
Previously, several initiatives to support Lao and Cambodian students have been implemented in Ho Chi Minh City. Notably, the "Study Group Program" was launched by Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University in 2021, forming about 50 study groups, each consisting of two Vietnamese students paired with two Lao or Cambodian students. This program helps Lao and Cambodian students practice Vietnamese through daily conversations and group activities, enhancing learning quality and understanding of the three countries’ cultures./.
