This year, Switzerland and Vietnam commemorate 50 years of diplomatic relations. To acknowledge this anniversary and the deep friendship bonds between the two nations, the Landmark81 Building in Ho Chi Minh City will wear the colours of both countries.

Switzerland was among the first Western countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam. Ever since, ties between the two nations have extended dynamically, from development cooperation to political and multilateral spheres, trade and investment, education and research, culture, tourism and numerous precious “people to people” contacts.

The upcoming visit to Hanoi by Swiss Vice-President and Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis on 4-6 August highlights the trust and friendship that unite the two countries and constitutes a solid basis for further expansion and strengthening.

Switzerland greets Ho Chi Minh City with the national colours of both our countries on the Landmark81 Building on 1 August 2021 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m./.
