Overseas Vietnamese in Greece welcome lunar New Year

(CPV) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Greece on February 26th worked with the Vietnamese Association in Greece to hold a program to welcome the 2018 lunar New Year.

Images of the Vietnamese country and people, highlighting its socio-economic achievements over the past years, were introduced, raising the trust in the country’s stronger development.

Wishing a happy New Year to Vietnamese people in Greece and praising their efforts and success in the country, Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Nguyen Manh Cuong pledged to care for communities’ work, protect Vietnamese citizens, and make favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate more deeply into Greek society, thus making greater contributions to the Vietnam - Greece cooperation.

In his speech, he informed about the situation in Vietnam, saying that despite difficulties, Vietnam had obtained and exceeded all of the targets set in 2017.

During the program, hero of the Vietnamese people's armed forces, Kostas Sarantidis (Nguyen Van Lap) showed his pleasure with the rapid, comprehensive and stable development of the country, asking the Vietnam - Greece Friendship Association to further promote the relationship between the two countries.

At the program

Guests and over 100 Vietnamese people in Greece enjoyed art performances and Vietnamese traditional food, and reviewed memories about previous Tet in Vietnam./.
