On this occasion, the Consulate General presented 1,000USD to the Executive Board of the Khmer-Vietnamese Association of the province to contribute to completing the project of upgrading Vietnamese/Khmer language classes in Pakhlon commune, Mondul Seyma district, where many Vietnamese people live.

According to Mr. Nguyen Nhi Anh, Chairman of the Khmer-Vietnamese Association of Koh Kong province, the project was carried out on the basis of an old degraded classroom with a total area of 40m2.

The project includes classrooms, teachers' rooms and self-contained toilets. Currently, the project has completed 90% of the items.

The Executive Board is making efforts to inaugurate the project at the same time that Cambodia's public schools reopen.

This is one of two Vietnamese/Khmer language classes for the Vietnamese original community in Koh Kong province.

In December 2020, a similar Vietnamese/Khmer class was inaugurated in the campus of the Executive Board of the Khmer-Vietnamese Association in Koh Kong province in the center of Khemarak Phumin city./.
