Forum connects Vietnamese and Cambodian businesses held in Phnom Penh

A trade forum was held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT)'s Asia–Africa Market Department in Phnom Penh on June 7 with the participation of more than 100 businesses of the two countries.

Speaking at the forum, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang emphasized that economic cooperation has received the attention of the two countries’ high-ranking leaders, especially following the 20th meeting of the Vietnam - Cambodia Joint Commission in March 2023 and the 12th Border Provinces Cooperation Conference in April 2023.
Through the forum, the Ambassador expressed his hope that participating businesses would get up-to-date information about the two markets, share difficulties and obstacles they have faced, and propose solutions to solve the problems, aiming to ramp up bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
The forum created an opportunity for Vietnamese and Cambodian businesses to exchange information, seek partners, stay updated on new economic policies of the two countries, and speak of obstacles to their operations and propose solutions to them.
At the forum, Cambodian officials introduced trade and investment cooperation policies and opportunities in Cambodia.
Within the framework of the event, Vietnamese businesses set up booths introducing their products, aiming to enhance connectivity with Cambodian partners./.
