Mr. Viboon Kromadit, CEO of Amata Group, and Ms. Somhatai Panichewa, Director General of Amata Vietnam Company, introduced to Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh about Amata Group’s investment and business strategy in Thailand, Vietnam South and countries in the region.
Over the past 46 years since its establishment in 1975, Amata Group has become a leading business in Thailand operating in the fields of hi-tech and smart city development.

Amata Group focuses on two main strategies: zoning to attract FDI and taking the lead in applying new technologies and circular economy models in industrial park infrastructure development.
In Vietnam, Amata Group has invested in 3 large industrial park projects including Amata City Bien Hoa, Amata City Long Thanh and Amata City Ha Long, and is in the process of pre-feasibility study of Mong Cai Smart City Project.
Amata Group affirmed its commitment to continue pouring high-quality FDI into Vietnam, and said that a number of large enterprises that have successfully invested in Amata City in Chonburi have committed to investing in Ha Long Smart City and Mong Cai Smart City.
Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh highly appreciated Amata Group’s vision and strategy in the field of hi-tech, especially sustainable development orientation through smart city project, in which Vietnam has demand to attract investment.
He affirmed that the government of Vietnam always focuses on attracting FDI, especially high-quality FDI sources, considering this a driving force for economic reform, improving competitiveness, and contributing to achieving the green and sustainable growth goals of the country.
Mr. Thanh suggested Amata Group continue to invest and call for more investors with great potential in clean and modern technology in Amata's industrial parks in Quang Ninh province, contributing to implementing the Vietnamese Government's commitment on reducing carbon emissions to zero by 2050.
Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh and the delegation also visited the Lumada Hi-tech Center in Southeast Asia of Hitachi Group, and the wastewater treatment plant applying circular economy./.
