Vietnamese Embassy in US organizes seminar and connects businesses

Speaking at the seminar, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Nguyen Quoc Dung said that Vietnam first participated in the Select USA Investment Summit with the largest number of businesses of more than 70. It shows the outstanding development of relations between the two countries, reflecting Vietnam's development and international integration, as well as the desire of Vietnamese businesses to reach out to the international market.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of US Department of Commerce Pamela Phan said that Vietnam was the 9th most important trade partner of the US in 2023; and affirmed that the US government will support and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses when investing and doing business in the US.

US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper said the two countries upgrade to a comprehensive strategic partnership has created more advantages for economic and trade relations; and encouraged Vietnamese businesses to invest in the US and benefit from investment incentive programs such as Select USA and other programs.

At the event, Vietcombank and Vinfast shared their experiences, opportunities and challenges when investing in the US, as well as their plans to further expand production and business activities.

Eximbank, Vietcombank and Ernst & Young also introduced their products, services and support programs that banks and businesses can provide to businesses when investing and doing business in the US.

At the seminar, Vietnamese and US businesses shared and discussed many cooperation opportunities and regulations on investment and business in the US.

The Select USA Investment Summit is an annual event organized by the US Department of Commerce to attract direct investment into the country./.
