Vietnamese Women’s Union in Hungary to mark 20th anniversary

The Vietnam Women’s Union in Hungary recently organized a meeting in Budapest in early spring with the attendance of Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Nguyen Thi Bich Thao.

Speaking at the meeting held on April 8, Ambassador Thao highly appreciated the contributions of the union to activities of the Vietnamese community and Vietnamese representative agencies in the host country.
The union is organizing various activities to mark its 20th anniversary, with a grand ceremony to be held in Budapest on June 9
Sharing about the union's recent activities, Ms. Phan Bich Thien, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union in Hungary, said that on the occasion of International Women's Day (March 8), the union's delegation attended the art exchange program in Berlin (Germany).
This year, the union organizes a painting contest "Vietnam today in children’s eyes" for high school students at more than 50 schools across Hungary to promote and introduce the country of Vietnam for the younger generations of Hungarians.
The contest has so far received many entries. The best works will be selected by the jury and exhibited at the awards ceremony taking place in Budapest on May 25./.
