Nearly 66,000 people go to work abroad

In July, 11,645 labourers went to work abroad, the Overseas Laborer Management Department under the Ministry of Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs has reported.

Specifically, over 6,000 labourers were sent to China’s Taiwanese labor market; over 3,500 to the Japant; over 1,100 to the Republic of Korea; 79 to Malaysia; 269 to Saudi Arabia; and 11 to China’s Macao.

According to the Department, 65,776 laborers went to work in foreign labor markets so far this year, representing 65.78% of the year’s plan and accounting for 95.99% compared to the same period last year.

The largest markets for Vietnamese laborers are Taiwan (China) (54%) and Japan (nearly 30%)./.
