Bac Ninh attracts nearly USD7.4 billion in foreign investment in 5 years

From 2018 to 2022, Bac Ninh province attracted nearly USD7.4 billion in foreign investment.

In which, it granted investment registration certificates to 865 new projects with a total investment capital of nearly USD3.4 billion, granted capital adjustment for 619 projects with the capital increased by more than USD3.7 billion; and announced the approval of capital contribution and share purchase 310 times with a value of USD305 million.
Some typical foreign investment projects attracting and adjusting capital in the period included the factory project of manufacturing, assembling and testing semiconductor materials and equipment in Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park by AMKOR Technology Singapore PTE. LTD (the Republic of Korea) as an investor with a total registered capital of more than USD529 million; the factory project of manufacturing electronic equipment, network equipment and multimedia audio products of Goertek Group from Hong Kong (China) with total adjusted investment capital of more than USD565 million; and the project on investment and construction of urban area business and services with adjusted capital with an additional investment capital of USD1 billion.
The achievements in attracting foreign investment capital have positively contributed to the province's gross product, increased budget revenue, export turnover, and job creation.
In the period of 2018 - 2022, the foreign-invested economic sector contributed more than USD46,652 billion, accounting for 30.5% of the total budget revenue of the province; more than 99.6% of the province's annual export value. As of 2022, the industry - construction group continued to dominate with the rate of 75.92%. The number of labourers in the foreign-invested sector was 316,872, accounting for 40.14% of the province's labor force./.
