Hoa Binh exports first 7 tons of Cao Phong oranges to the UK

At the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee Bui Duc Hinh emphasized that this is the first shipment of Cao Phong oranges to be exported to the UK market. The event marks Cao Phong oranges reaching out to the world market after 40 years.

Accordingly, the first shipment of 7 tons of Cao Phong oranges to the UK is a source of encouragement for farmers in Hoa Binh to continue to have the next shipment to be exported, making export become one of the product consumption channels of the northern province in the coming time.

Analysis of Cao Phong orange test samples detected no trace of the nearly 900 active plant protection drug substances prohibited according to European standards.

The area of orange and tangerine cultivation in Cao Phong is about 1,358 hectares, the output is over 20,000 tons a year, in which, many areas are produc according to VietGAP process, so the quality of product is improved and favored by the market.

In 2022, many agricultural products of Hoa Binh have maintained their traditional export markets and opened new markets with items such as bamboo shoots, vermicelli, cassava, and nutritious porridge. Notably,  many products such as white sugarcane, purple sugarcane, longan, red pomelo and pomelo have been exported to high-end markets such as the US, the Republic of Korea, the UK, and the EU./.
