Assessing the expo as a place to update advanced technologies and innovations in expertise in the fields of marine technology and shipbuilding, Mr. Kenny Yong, General Director of Fireworks Trade Media, the organizer of VIMOX 2023, said that the large participation of exhibitors from all over the world was proof that the development potential of the maritime industry in Vietnam is still very large.
“With its long coastline, skilled shipbuilding workforce and strategic geographical location, Vietnam has the advantage in seizing opportunities presented by the global maritime industry, and great potential to expand the shipbuilding sector,” said Mr. Kenny Yong.
The exhibition is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors including ship owners, shipyards, manufacturers and suppliers of materials and equipment, experts, scientists, researchers, consultants, equipment designers, leaders and technical, technological and commercial staff of enterprises in the industry.
The exhibition will be an important trade bridge to help businesses and investors have the opportunity to access useful information, share advanced technologies and seek investment opportunities to further promote the shipbuilding industry in the world in general and in Vietnam in particular.
Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Science and Technology Association (VISIA) Hoang Hung assessed that, with the recovery of the global economy and growth in production and business, shipbuilding facilities have developed rapidly in all localities with nearly 120 large and small shipbuilding establishments. The facilities that design and supply materials and equipment for the industry have also grown strongly in number, capable of designing specialized products.
Within the framework of the exhibition, in addition to activities related to display, there are also activities to promote, introduce products and services, specialized seminars on shipbuilding and maritime, which are expected to be an additional forum between managers and policy makers, experts, domestic and foreign businesses to discuss science and technology issues, policies and strategies for the development of the world's maritime and shipbuilding industry in general, and in Vietnam in particular.
The exhibition will close on July 7./.
