Pasaxon Newspaper, the organ of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Vientiane Mai Newspaper, National Radio, National Television, Vientiane Times, Pathetlao Daily (Laos News Agency), and many online newspapers and websites of Lao agencies posted much information about the activities of the visit.
The newspapers published the main events during the visit such as the welcoming ceremony of Vietnamese State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the meeting of Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the meeting of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and the meeting of the President of the National Assembly.
Lao press also said that on this occasion, the two sides signed seven cooperation documents while enterprises of the two countries signed a number of cooperation and investment contracts, contributing to promoting the relationship and cooperation between Laos and Vietnam to develop more and more deeply, effectively and practically.
They also published the Vietnam-Laos Joint Statement, about the letter of thanks to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Nguyen Xuan Phuc of Lao Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith on the occasion of the conclusion of the official friendship visit to Vietnam.
Welcoming the results of the official friendship visit, the newspaper affirmed that the visit is proof that the relationship between the two countries is increasingly developing, showing the same desire of the Lao Party, State and people in continuing the tradition of deep and lasting closeness, mutual trust, of the pure, impartial and rare relationship between the two countries which was laid by the great President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, and developed and fostered by generations of leaders and people of the two countries./.
