To improve the capacity of coastal and dyke protection systems to adapt to climate change, Quang Yen town is implementing a mangrove forestation program in 2015.
The town has carried out mangrove forestation in eight communes and wards including Song Khoai, Hiep Hoa, Yen Giang, Hoang Tan, Ha An, Lien Hoa, Tien Phong and Lien Vi, with an average density of 2,000 trees per hectare. Being carried out in Mid-April 2015.
Along with mangrove reforestation, the town has also strengthened public service communications to help everyone in the locality improve their understanding and awareness on the significance and value of planting mangrove forests as well as joining the effort to manage and protect mangrove forests and to create a natural layer of protection for the community and the ecological environment./.
