A ceremony was held by the Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Association in Hanoi on December 22 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam-Belarus diplomatic relations (1992-2022) and 65 years since President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Minsk (1957-2022).

At the event, a documentary on the visit and the three decades of development of the bilateral ties between the two countries was screened.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Association Nguyen Tuan Phong emphasized that for years, Belarus has stood side by side with Vietnam in building friendship and cooperation.
In the struggle for independence of Vietnam, Belarus helped the country train experts, students, and workers, who later made significant contributions to the defence, construction and development of Vietnam and to the relationship of the two countries.
Mr. Phong expressed his strong belief that the bilateral ties will be further strengthened.
At the ceremony, Belarusian Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh’s trip to Minsk in 1957 has become one of the symbolic foundations of the close-knitted and long-lasting friendship between the two peoples.
He believed the the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Belarus will continuously develop for the sake of the two peoples.
On this occasion, the delegates enjoyed art performances of Vietnam and Belarus./.
