Central Relief Fund Committee receives VND1.739 trillion in support for storm and flood victims

On September 24, many organizations, businesses and individuals, both domestic and international, continued to visit the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Central Committee to extend their solidarity and support for those severely affected by Storm No. 3.

Among the contributors, Colonel Prin Yongpiyanon, Air Attaché of Thailand and head of the Military Attaché Corps in Vietnam (MACV), delivered a donation from the MACV. He expressed deep sympathy for the people in northern Vietnam who have suffered greatly due to Storm No. 3 (Yagi).
Colonel Prin Yongpiyanon shared that the contribution from the MACV was made in the spirit of solidarity and support, hoping to alleviate some of the losses that people have endured in the aftermath of the storm. He also expressed hope that the storm victims would soon stabilize their lives.
As of 5:00 PM on September 24, the Central Relief Fund had received a total of VND1.739 trillion in donations.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Central Committee, the Central Relief Fund, and the people of the northern provinces affected by Storm No. 3, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Dung expressed his gratitude for the heartfelt support from businesses, organizations, individuals, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends. This generous assistance will help the people of the northern provinces overcome the difficulties caused by the storm.
The Central Relief Fund will allocate resources to 26 provinces and cities to support families who have lost loved ones or have missing or injured family members; provide food, water and necessities to those who have lost their homes and belongings; assist with housing reconstruction for families whose homes were completely destroyed or severely damaged; and aid students who lost their books and school supplies due to flooding. Additionally, support will be given for crops and livestock to help people resume agricultural production and restore their lives after the floods./.
