Dai Tu honors 83 outstanding Uncle Ho's good children

In the past school year, the role and responsibility of the Youth Union in caring for, educating and protecting children, especially in building the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization, were clearly demonstrated. The Youth Union and the Organization have mobilized social resources, created favorable conditions for children to study, play, entertain, train and grow up; and effectively implemented the movement “Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho’s five teachings”, “Repaying gratitude” activities, and “Tran Quoc Toan” work.

Children in the district have organized over 1,500 trips with over 32,240 children participating in activities to visit red addresses, give gifts to 82 families of war invalids, martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution, participate in cleaning memorials and martyrs’ cemeteries, and support 3,220 children in difficult circumstances with a total cost of 1.3 billion VND.

In particular, responding to the movement “Rice jar of love - Support to go to school”, children in the district have donated over 29.5 tons of rice, helped 1,900 children in difficult circumstances in the teams; collected over 30 tons of scrap paper, raised 128 million VND for small-scale projects; and awarded 255 scholarships to children in difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, the Dai Tu Youth Union Council honored 83 exemplary Uncle Ho’s good children. Also in the Program, seven groups and four individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Communist Youth Union Central Committee for their outstanding achievements in the team work and the children’s movement in the 2023-2024 school year.
