The team members, including Huynh Nguyet Anh, Tran Thi Minh Chau, Le Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung and Le Thi Hao (representing the Women’s Union of District 7, Ho Chi Minh City), recently won second place in the 2024 "Information Technology Application in Organizing Union Activities" contest, organized by the Vietnam Women’s Union, with the application "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space on the Digital Platform."

Despite being self-taught in IT without formal education in the field, these women used their creativity, intelligence, and passion for learning to research and successfully apply technology to innovate Union activities. Among their achievements is the successful development and design of the "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space on the Digital Platform" application.

The "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space on the Digital Platform" is an online website, designed on the Wix.com platform, and registered with the domain name www.kgvhhochiminhhlhpnq7.com.

The site introduces Ho Chi Minh's cultural space with main sections such as: an introduction to the Ho Chi Minh Heritage Books Collection, some of President Ho Chi Minh’s notable works, videos about him, a 3D museum of the Kim Lien Relic Site and the Ho Chi Minh Museum, an introduction to the book collection "85 Years of the Women’s Movement in Ho Chi Minh City," songs about Uncle Ho, examples of women following his teachings, and the "House of the Union" section.

Ms. Le Thi Hao, Vice President of the District 7 Women’s Union (a member of the team), shared her idea that currently, activities in Union branches are mainly conducted in person, and the application of IT in these activities has not been strongly promoted.

Given this situation, the District 7 Women’s Union determined that applying IT in Union activities is a breakthrough solution that can create a widespread impact, aiming to maintain forms of engagement for women members in Union activities online.

The application was developed with the goal of promoting activities that disseminate, study and follow the moral and ethical teachings and style of Uncle Ho. Additionally, the application also updates local information in the 'House of the Union' section.

With this application, women members can easily access information, share it with their families, and contribute to gathering women members in a manner suitable for the 4.0 era."

Currently, Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space is being promoted in real life by various Women’s Union levels in Ho Chi Minh City. It is typically a room, a geographical area, or a specific residential area that contains tangible and intangible cultural heritage associated with President Ho Chi Minh.

Some Union branches have also built Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces on their Facebook and Zalo pages, usually focusing on specific topics. The District 7 Women’s Union, however, chose to create a separate website, accessible on both computers and smartphones.

This unique feature of the application has been highly praised by the Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Union and introduced to the national competition.

To date, more than 8,000 women members in District 7 have become aware of this application, with over 7,600 interactions and 2,357 shares on social media./.
