Exhibition on Vietnamese traditional folk paintings in Gia Lai

An exhibition on Vietnamese traditional folk paintings opened at the Central Highlands Gia Lai provincial Museum on March 15th.

The event is being held by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in coordination with Gia Lai provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to mark the 43rd anniversary of Pleiku city’s liberation.

Dozens of outstanding paintings selected by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum bring visitors a true sense of the specific folk artistic forms such as Dong Ho, Hang Trong and Kim Hoang paintings.

This is the first time ethnic people in Gia Lai in particular and in the Central Highlands in general have an opportunity to admire these traditional folk paintings styles iconic in northern and central delta regions, and worshipping paintings of the northern mountainous region.

The exhibition will run until April 15h./.
