Private painting museum proposed in Ho Chi Minh City

On July 21st, Vice chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Duong Anh Duc, representatives from HCMC Cultural Heritage Association and a number of agencies and committees paid a working visit to Bui Van Ngo Agricultural Mechanics Co., Ltd. In Tan Binh district.

Vice chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Duong Anh Duc visited the painting showroom of artist Bui Van Ngo.

This is the place that is expected to propose the establishment of a technology institute and a private art museum.

Bui Van Ngo, 90 years old, is the founder of Bui Van Ngo Agricultural Mechanics Co., Ltd.

He is the only person in the country to own many large paintings. He has received three records, including the longest hill statue in Vietnam in 2006, the largest painting on Tu Duc tomb in Vietnam in 2012, and the author who has the most plastic works in Vietnam in 2012, by the Vietnam Record Book Center.

He currently owns thousands of paintings of many genres such as watercolor, lacquer, oil paint and pencil.
