JICA gives biological products to HCMC for Covid-19 fight

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has decided to present a package of biological products worth JPY4 million to Ho Chi Minh city Pasteur Institute for coping with Covid-19.

The institute is the agency that manages disease control centers in 20 southern localities, and is directed to identify suspected cases of Covid-19 in the southern region.

On February 7th, JICA presented the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE) the first aid package worth JPY14 million to cope with Covid-19.

In addition, other medical foundations received aid from JICA, including the Hospital for Tropical Diseases receiving protective goods.

The total capital of the aid for Vietnam’s Covid-19 fight is estimated at up to JPY20 million./.
