Friendship exchange between Vietnamese Embassy and Lao Embassy in US

This is an annual event between the two embassies with the participation of a large number of officials, staff and families of the Embassies and representative agencies of the two countries.

Speaking at the exchange, Lao Ambassador Mai Sayavong and Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Quang Vinh affirmed this was a very significant event between the embassies, taking place at a crucial moment in the bilateral relations of marking the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (September 5th, 1962 - September 5^th, 2017) and the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam – Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18^th, 1977 - July 18^th, 2017).

The two Ambassadors shared that over the past years, the two embassies of Vietnam and Laos have always worked closely together, shared information, actively helped each other in bilateral activities, cooperated with the local administration as well as within the framework of the embassies of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Washington.

At the exchange, all officials and families of the two embassies joined together in sports, cuisine and art performance, praising the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos./.
