Beautiful and talented, Carolina Do, born in 1993, from the state of North Carolina, said that her parents’ native land is My Tho city, Tien Giang province, Vietnam. In 1988, her family moved to the US to live. She graduated from the Film Department of Brooklyn University. Talking about the reason why she chose the art, Carolina said that as a child, she liked singing and telling stories for the family. The indulgence is increasing and she follows that way.
Another reason is that at that time, in film and theatre, there were few parts for Asian people so the Vietnamese origin girl wanted to do that for herself.
According to Carolina, at present, her way is more advantageous when films have more parts for Asian people.
Through her art career, Carolina wants to confirm the image of talented young Vietnamese people full of aspiration.
She said that modern Vietnamese women need to have knowledge, skill, always raising questions in life and overcoming difficulties.
As the second winner of Miss Vietnam - New York, 9X-girl wants to be an ambassador to introduce the history, culture, cuisine and people of Vietnam to international friends.
According to her, the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) is a special and inviolable opportunity because it is a “heritage” from the Vietnamese ancestors.
Because of being born in the US, Tet for Carolina Do is very simple. She likes Kitchen God Day, to go out with her family and wish Happy New Year to family.
In the New Year, Carolina Do dreams to make more film, travel more and help refugees./.
