Vietnam’s national football squad is placed 136th with 218 points in the latest FIFA rankings, two notches lower than that in the previous month.
The points place the country in the 22nd position in Asia and the third in Southeast Asia after the Philippines and Thailand.
The Philippines is currently taking the lead in Southeast Asia and ranking 122nd in the world, followed by Thailand (126th).
In Asia, the top three places belong to Iran, the Republic of Korea and Australia, respectively.
Globally, Argentina takes the lead, followed by Brazil and Germany.
Next month’s FIFA standings will be announced on February 9th./.
