Tra Co – Quang Ninh recognized as national tourism area

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has decided to recognize Tra Co in the northern province of Quang Ninh as a national tourism area.

Under the decision, Tra Co is the first national tourism area in Quang Ninh and one of the four national tourism areas nationwide.

The recognition aims to concretize Decision 201/QD-TTg, dated January 22nd, 2013, of the Government leader approving the overall scheme to develop Vietnam’s tourism by 2020, with a vision to 2030.

The Tra Co national tourism area located in Mong Cai city has an area of 44,036 hectares; including 18,328 hectares of land area and 25,798 ha of water surface.

Its North is adjacent to Ka Long River, the South is near the East Sea, while the East borders China and the West is adjacent to Hai Yen ward.

Tra Co Beach is more than 17 kilometers long. It is among the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam with pristine beauty and smooth white sand./.
