Vietnamese travellers to RoK rise nearly 30%

The total number of Vietnamese travellers to the Republic of Korea (RoK) reached 25,000 in May, bringing the figure for the first five months of the year to 113,690, a year-on-year rise of 29.3%, reported the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO).

KTO considered Vietnam one of the main tourism markets in Southeast Asia. In the coming time, the organization will intensify promotion in the market to develop its specific tourism products to attract more Vietnamese tourists.

Specifically, it will join the International Travel Expo in Ho Chi Minh city from September 7th to 9th, 2017, and promote luxury products, PyeongChang 2018 Olympics, and Hallyu tourism products at Ho Chi Minh city - Gyeongju International Cultural Fair from November 9th and December 3rd

Some festivals will be organized at cities and tourist attractions in RoK in the second half of the year to attract more tourists, such as: Boryeong Mud Festival from July 21st to 30th, Buyeo Seodong Lotus Festival from July 16th, Pohang International Fireworks Festival from July 16th to 30th, and Jeongnamjin Jangheung Water Festival from July 28th to August 3rd./.
