At the program, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang affirmed this meaningful activity creates a spillover effect in the community, attracting many students to participate. The effectiveness of the program is not simply in providing scholarships but also giving students great confidence and hope in their studies. In particular, the program has contributed to taking care of the spiritual and material lives of many ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Thang shared that in recent years, party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and people's organizations in the province have always paid attention to leading, directing and implementing socio-economic development in the ethnic minority inhabited areas; and increasing investment in developing education, training, health care and culture. At the same time, the units synchronously and promptly deploy ethnic policies, especially national target programs. Provincial leaders pay attention and regularly direct the study and talent promotion movement in the province.
Previously, the working delegation of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of Bac Lieu province presented gifts to 300 Khmer people on the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay Festival in 2024./.
