Hanoi cares for disadvantaged workers during Tet

(CPV) - The Trade Union at all levels in Hanoi coordinated with businesses to give more than 80,000 lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, using over VND60 billion.

The information was announced during a meeting of the city Confederation of Labour on March 3 to review the caring for workers, employees and labourers during Tet.
Over the past time, the Trade Union at all levels has actively coordinated with the local authorities, businesses, organizations and individuals to implement the plan of taking care of labourers during Tet, supervising the payment of salaries and Tet bonuses.
Apart from the presents, the Hanoi Confederation of Labour also organized Tet Fair sales with discounts and offered 5,600 vouchers with a total value of VND800 million for workers; the contest of wrapping sticky rice cakes and cultural activities imbued with national cultural identity, aiming to increase labourers’ material and spiritual lives./.
