The association is identified as a non-profit, non-governmental organization, which aims to update information, share knowledge and experience related to science and technology for members and the Vietnamese community in Sweden, connect them with those in the homeland and other countries, and support the two countries’ cooperation in this field.

At the event, an executive board for the first term in 2024-2026, including 13 members, was elected and Associate Professor, Dr. Do Quang Minh, senior expert at Thermo-Calc Software, was elected as president.

Apart from experts of Vietnamese origin, the association also established an advisory board gathering Swedish experts who love the country and people of Vietnam. Many of them have lived and worked in Vietnam and have made many contributions to its development.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Sweden congratulated the association on its establishment and affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden would always accompany and support the association, creating the most favorable conditions for Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Sweden to contribute their talents and efforts for Vietnam's development and good relations between the two countries./.
