Friendship medals and orders to members of Russia - Vietnam Friendship Association

The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia recently awarded Friendship orders and medals, noble awards of the Vietnamese state, to Russia - Vietnam Friendship Association members who have made great contributions to strengthening solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

According to the decision issued on December 27, 2023 by the State President of Vietnam, the Friendship medal was awarded to two Vice Presidents of the Russia - Vietnam Friendship Association, Ms. Regina Bundarina and Mr. Vladimir Ruvimov, and four members of the Association's Executive Committee.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi and President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son respectfully awarded noble medals and presented bouquets of fresh flowers to congratulate Vietnam's precious friends.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Anh Son affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam will forever remember and be grateful for the great, comprehensive, impartial, sincere and compassionate help of the State and the people of the Soviet Union and Russia for Vietnam in the struggle for national liberation, as well as the cause of building and defending the country.

Mr. Phan Anh Son acknowledged the active and creative activities of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association to promote the image of Vietnam and bilateral relations, promote people-to-people exchanges, and organize meaningful people-to-people diplomatic activities in fields of science, education, culture and society.

Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi affirmed that the loyalty, sincerity and depth of the relationship between the two peoples and the two countries remains unchanged, despite changes in the world and regional situation.

Mr. Vladimir Ruvimov, former military expert in Vietnam, Vice President of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association, as one of those receiving the medal, emotionally recalled his youth with sacred international proletarian duty of going to Vietnam to help train Vietnamese soldiers to use weapons and equipment provided by the Soviet Union in the years of 1965-1966.

He recalled his visiting to Vietnam in 2010 and being amazed at the strong development of the country, from the pain of war, rising to develop in all aspects of economy and society./.
