The event, organized by the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the RoK (AVCK) under the auspices of the Vietnamese Embassy in RoK, aims to develop the sports movement and promote the spirit of physical training and sports in the community, contributing to creating a solidarity exchange between Vietnamese workers, overseas Vietnamese students and Vietnamese multicultural families living, studying and working in RoK.

The festival gathered together 16 male and 4 female football teams representing typical regions across RoK. In addition to football, many young people also registered to participate in athletics, arm wrestling, tug of war and so on.

Within the framework of the program, attractive cultural exchange activities were also organized such as food stalls with typical Vietnamese dishes and lucky draw games.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen Vu Tung believed that the event would contribute to connecting the Vietnamese community in RoK, creating a movement of health practices and a useful annual event for the community.

The Vietnamese community in RoK had an exciting day when watching fiery football matches and participating in activities on the sidelines of the Sports Festival at Anyeong Sports Complex./.
