The State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese (SCOV) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines) on July 4 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation on overseas Vietnamese affairs.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Dong, Deputy Chairman of the SCOV, affirmed that over the past time, the two sides have always accompanied, supported and closely coordinated in the overseas Vietnamese affairs.
The signing ceremony aims to strengthen coordination between the two sides, contributing to improving work efficiency for overseas Vietnamese, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 36, Directive No. 45, and Conclusion No. 12 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 169/NQ-CP of the government on overseas Vietnamese affairs in the new situation.
With the MoU, the two sides promote to create incentives and conveniences to show the care and responsibility of the Party and State for the overseas Vietnamese community, creating increasingly favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese being attached to the homeland, strengthening the introduction and promotion of the image of the Vietnam Airlines to the Vietnamese community in other countries.
Mr. Le Hong Ha, General Director of Vietnam Airlines, shared that the cooperation between the two sides soundly reflects the Party and State's policies towards the overseas Vietnamese community.
In the short term, the two sides agreed that Vietnam Airlines will participate in supporting overseas Vietnamese delegates attending the 4th World Overseas Vietnamese Conference held from August 21-24 in Hanoi for international/domestic flights that Vietnam Airlines exploits./.
