Vietnamese Businessmen Association in Angola officially established

At the event held on June 9, the Vietnamese Businessmen Association in Angola held its Congress, passed the Charter, elected its Executive Board, and the Inspection Committee of the Association, term I for the 2024-2027 period.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Angola Duong Chinh Chuc said this step is of great significance, opening a new period of development for the Vietnamese business community in Angola.

Ambassador Duong Chinh Chuc emphasized that the Vietnamese Businessmen Association in Angola was established, first of all, to further strengthen solidarity and mutual support in the community, creating a common playing ground with common, equal, transparent rules for Vietnamese businessmen in Angola, sharing opportunities for welfare, employment, supporting each other to overcome difficulties, and solving problems; promoting the position of Vietnamese people in Angola, contributing to promoting relations and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador also expressed his wish that the local government and authorities, ministries, sectors and socio-economic organizations of Angola support in many aspects, creating conditions for the association to operate effectively. He committed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola will always accompany the association.

Ambassador Chuc affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Party and State of Vietnam always give great attention and support to overseas Vietnamese communities and businessmen across the world and in Angola.

At present, there are more than 10,000 Vietnamese people living and working in Angola. In addition to the majority of small businesses, there are also many businesses operating in fields such as construction, mechanical engineering, culinary services, and agriculture and forestry./.
