Vietnamese culture spread in Venezuela

The Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela and the National Experimental University of the Armed Forces (UNEFA) of the country on May 26 jointly held a closing ceremony of a Vietnamese cooking and conical hat dance courses at the university.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My thanked the Venezuelan Ministry of National Defense and UNEFA for organizing Vietnamese cooking and conical hat dancing courses, emphasizing the significance of the closing ceremony being held at the time of the 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.

Congratulating the students on completing the courses, Ambassador My expressed his wish that the students would continue to help spread and promote the unique dishes as well as the typical conical hat dances of Vietnamese women to Venezuelan people.

For his part, Rector of UNEFA, Senior Lieutenant General Pascualino Angiolillo thanked the Vietnamese Embassy for coordinating and accompanying the university to successfully organize the courses.

He emphasized that these are very meaningful activities to honor the characteristics and values of the thousand-year-old culture of the Vietnamese people, the country of great President Ho Chi Minh.

Mr. Pascualino Angiolillo affirmed that the courses have helped UNEFA students and lecturers better understand Vietnamese culture and are the basis and foundation for promoting friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Venezuela and Vietnam.

At the end of the ceremony, the delegates and students enjoyed some traditional Vietnamese and Venezuelan dishes as well as the conical hat dance performed by UNEFA students./.
