Quang Ninh province: Mapping tours to coal mine

Quang Ninh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has conducted a survey to build tours to coal mines in the province to diversify provincial tourism products and develop new destinations.

The delegation visited Vang Danh coal mine.

The survey delegation included tour management, leaders of Lua Viet Outdoor Co. Ltd. SMI-VN Travel Co., two leading enterprises from Ho Chi Minh city in welcoming domestic and Japanese tourists.

Visiting Cao Son coal mine.

The delegation visited open-cast mines and pits of Cao Son coal JSC - Vinacomin and Vang Danh coal JSC – Vinacomin. It also worked leaders of the two companies on the possibility of organizing tourists to study miners’ life and coal exploitation process.

The delegation also visited Vung Duc relic site, Cam Thach mineral spring in Cam Thach precinct, Cam Pha city, Vietnam Mineral and Coal College in Uong Bi cty to make plans for tours.

Representatives from travel agencies appreciated potentials of coal mine tourism in the province and hoped to receive more support from mines and tourism sectors in bringing visitors to miners in the future./.
