So far, 394 farms have been built in the province, an increase of 22 compared to 2014. On average, each farm has been invested with VND300-400 million, producing a value of VND250-300 million each year, and created jobs for thousands of labourers.
Identifying that the farm economy development is an effective way in accelerating the shift of rural economic structure, the province has carried out a range of diverse solutions to take advantage of the production strengths of each locality. Farm production models have seen strong development in Dong Trieu and Quang Yen towns, Uong Bi and Cam Pha cities and the districts of Hoanh Bo, Van Don, Co To, Tien Yen, Binh Lieu and Ba Che, in which the farm owners have exploited the potential of the land and workforce efficiently, helping to raise farmers’ income and boost local socio-economic development.
Many farms have introduced appropriate technology into the production process, contributing to improved quality and hundreds of millions of VND in increased revenue. To encourage farmers to follow farming economy model, the province has issued policies on supporting enterprises that invest in the agricultural sector; building the links between farms and enterprises; and attracting projects into the processing industry of agricultural, forestry and fishery products./.
