Seven localities, including Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh provinces, have agreed to join a tourism demand stimulus program with the theme “Seven localities – Safe and attractive tourism.”

The program aims to create links among local government agencies, between localities and enterprises in joining and developing stimulus programs to attract tourists to quickly recover the tourist market, in which domestic tourists are the focus.
The localities will implement promotion and communications programs on safe tourism in safe destinations in order to eliminate tourists’ concerns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
They pledged to build safe local tourism digital maps, at the same time integrating into a general map of the 7 localities in order to help travelers easily look up destinations, safe products and services.
In his speech at the event, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said that the union of tourism demands stimulus aimed at many subjects, with sharp decrease in tour and service prices but quality and safety for tourists still ensured.
Mr. Trinh Hang, Director of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Tourism Department, said that after the first tourism demand stimulus program, the province greeted 1.7 million tourists in July 2020, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%.
For the second tourism demand stimulus program, Ba Ria – Vung Tau announced and introduced safe destinations to tourists since early October.
Specifically, more than 3-star hotels reduce listed price by 30%, 1 to 2-star hotels cut listed price by 20% and other accommodation establishments decrease prices 10% while landscapes, catering services and transport see price reduction from 10% to 30%./.
