Over 70 percent of autumn – winter crop harvested in Quang Ninh

The northern province of Quang Ninh has harvested more than 70 percent of the autumn – winter crop from the start of the year, according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Although pestilent insects caused some harm, forecasts and comprehensive implementation of solutions against diseases on rice helped farmers gain average productivity of 46 quintal per hectare.

The province cultivated over 32,200 hectares of crops of all kinds, in which area of the crop was over 25,800 hectares. Food productivity of the crop reached estimated 125,000 tonnes, including paddy productivity of 119,500 tonnes./.
