Aiming to improve the quality and quantity of procedures of the NSW mechanism, the General Department of Vietnam Customs - the standing organ of the national steering for the ASEAN single window and NSW - asked Ministries and branches to quickly carry out administrative formalities related to export and import activities on the portal.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development had five procedures proposed for rapid implementation, including issuance of certificates of food safety inspection for imported goods with plant origin; quarantine procedures for imported animal and animal products; and quarantine procedures for export seafood and aquatic products.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed carrying out three procedures on granting certificates for the Kimberly process on rough diamonds; granting licenses for exporting and importing industrial explosives and licensing exporting and importing precursors used in the industrial sector.

In addition, the general department urged the Ministries of Natural Resources and Environment; Health; Transport and Public Security to soon realize numerous procedures.

Currently, 31 administrative formalities of the Ministries (excluding those in the customs sector) joined the NSW mechanism, including four of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, 11 of the Ministry of Transport, one of the Ministry of Science and Technology, nine of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; one of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, one of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, one of the Ministry of Information and Communications and three of the Ministry of Health./.
