As planned, the first delegation from the Republic of Korea (RoK) will enter Van Don International Airport on January 7, 2022.
Quang Ninh has selected pilot closed tourism models to welcome international visitors, including the model of overnight cruise on Ha Long Bay and the model of welcoming tourists at Tuan Chau International Tourist Area in Ha Long City, Yen Tu Relic and Scenic Area in Uong Bi City and Mong Cai - Tra Co tourist area in Mong Cai City.
Quang Ninh also announced businesses and service facilities that are eligible to welcome international tourists in the first phase, including: FLC Grand Ha Long hotel, Tinh Nghia Transport and Travel Trading Joint Stock Company, and Viet Way Company’s branch in Quang Ninh.
The cruise ships permitted to welcome international tourists to visit Ha Long Bay in the first phase include: Viet Dragon and Seoul Ha Long fleet, Binh An 68-QN 9289, Quang Nam-QN 9189, a fleet of the Golden Boat Travel Joint Stock Company-9999, and a fleet of the Bai Tho Tourism Service and Trade Investment Joint Stock Company.
All the selected places are famous destinations, bearing the typical tourism brand of Quang Ninh, providing a variety of experiences in a self-contained way.
After a long period of applying strong measures, including the decision to suspend tourism and service activities to serve the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, from October 2021, Quang Ninh has reopened a number of intra-provincial tourism activities. By November 2021, the province has piloted welcoming tourists from outside the province, focusing on opening tours and tourist routes to ensure disease safety.
Quang Ninh is one of the five localities in the country that the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism proposed to the Government to welcome international tourists under a pilot program, based on the following conditions: high vaccination rate, capacity to cope with epidemics and many high-class, attractive and all-inclusive travel experiences.
Recently, the provincial People’s Council has issued a policy to reduce by 50% entrance fees to the most famous tourist attractions, including: Ha Long Bay scenic area; Quang Ninh Museum and Yen Tu relic site. This policy is applied from January 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022./.
