According to the decision, in the period 2021-2023, the city People's Committee will put aside more than VND28 billion in the budget to implement the project. In particular, the city Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is assigned to carry out the project by focusing on investigating and identifying the composition of wild birds, thereby offering solutions to conserve and develop wild birds.
The city People's Committee also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to carry out the conservation and restoration of rare primate species in Huong Son special-use forest (My Duc district); investigate and evaluate the current status of endemic flora and fauna species in Vietnam in Ba Vi National Park (Ba Vi district) and Huong Son special-use forest (My Duc district); and increase dissemination of information to raise awareness among officials and people about the conservation values of endangered, precious and rare wild fauna and flora species in the city.
The People's Committees of districts and town located along the Red River are responsible for coordinating with the city Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to effectively implement the above project.
Through this project, Hanoi aims to preserve the important and specific natural ecosystems, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of the city; while effectively implementing the "master plan on biodiversity conservation of the whole country to 2020, with orientations to 2030" and "Biodiversity conservation plan of Hanoi city to 2020, orientations for 2030”./.
