Nearly 215 million COVID-19 vaccine doses administered

Statistics on the COVID-19 vaccination portal as of May 2 showed that the country has administered nearly 215 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, while localities are urged to continue accelerating the 3rd injection and vaccination for children from aged 5 to under 12.

As of May 1, Vietnam has received more than 241 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, including over 234.6 million doses for people aged 12 and over; and over 6.45 million doses for children from 5 to 12 years old.

The coverage of the first and second dose is 100%; the third dose is 57.4%; and the coverage of the first and second dose among children aged 12-17 is 100% and 96.4% respectively.

The number of vaccines injected for people aged 18 and older was 196,041,770 doses.

The number of vaccines injected for children aged 12-17 years old was 17,376,198 doses.

The whole country has safely injected more than 1.52 million doses of vaccine for children from 5 - under 12 years old.

The vaccine consulting council under the Ministry of Health has agreed to give the fourth injection for people aged 50 and older, people aged 18 and older with immunodeficiency from the medium to heavy form; and people aged 18 and older belonging to a high-risk group exposed to COVID-19 who are health workers, frontline forces and workers in industrial parks./.
