Book street - A cultural space in the capital’s heart

After three months of operation, Hanoi book street on 19/12 street, Tran Hung Dao ward, Hoan Kiem district, has become a go-to place for book lovers in the capital.

At the street, people not only can find books by different publishing houses and famous companies, but also enjoy walking space without noise like other streets in the center. The quietness alone makes many people love the street where they can walk for relaxation and enjoy interesting books.

The street includes 16 pavilions of publishing houses and prestigious bookshops. Each publishing house has its own space which is designed and built harmoniously with the architecture and scenery. New books and different kinds of books are also available here. Especially, seats are also placed for visitors to stop for a short wile or read a book.

Outdoor activities, seminars and exchanges are held in the middle of the street.

Mrs. Phan Hang from Ba Dinh district, said that she goes to the street when she has spare time.
