Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House put into operation

The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union organized a ceremony to inaugurate and put into operation the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House in the urban area of Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City on October 24th.

The project is on 3.55ha in Di An town, Binh Duong province.

The project started construction in late December 2014 with total capital of 420 billion VND, invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and People’s Committee to be presented to students of the city. It also aims to mark the 70th anniversary of the traditional day of pupils and students.

The cultural house is designed in a hexagon shape, including a 7-storey building with a total construction area of 30,000m2.

Inside the building is equipped with modern facilities and convenient services such as conference room; hall; computer room; recording studio; theatre; rooms for household arts, counseling, drama, dance, foreign languages, exercise and library; multifunctional sports ground; rooms for clubs/teams/groups; and outdoor stage to serve cultural needs of tens of thousands of students from Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City.

The urban area of the Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City currently has about 55,000 students studying at seven member universities of Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City and two neighbouring universities. The Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House will be a cultural, sport and educational centre for students in Ho Chi Minh City./.
