Mong ethnic culture in Yen Bai province to be introduced in Hanoi

A Mong ethnic culture program held by the northwestern Yen Bai provincial People's Committee will take place at Ly Thai To statue, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi from May 18th to 19th.

Diverse activities such as specific artistic shows, performances of Mong ethnic musical instruments, a photo exhibition on Mong ethnic culture and beautiful landscapes in Yen Bai province will be held.

In addition, visitors will have an opportunity to experience countryside market space with seven stalls which will be set up according to the traditional house model. Special foods will be introduced. Folk games and performance of patterns on beeswax and embroidery on skirts will be held.

There are about 55,000 Mong ethnic people in Yen Bai province, accounting for 8.1% of the provincial population. They live in 40 communes in 6 districts, including Mu Cang Chai, Tram Tau, Van Chan, Van Yen, Tran Yen and Luc Yen./.
