Accordingly, the People’s Committee assigned the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with relevant agencies to build programs popularizing Quan ho folk singing in Russia Federation and some Eastern European countries.

On January 30th, 2009, at the 4th meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the United Arab Emirates, Bac Ninh folk singing was recognized as an intangible world heritage.

After being honored, to fulfill the commitment of the Vietnamese government to UNESCO, Bac Ninh has implemented the National Action Program on the preservation and promotion of Quan ho folk singing.

After ten years of implementation, Quan ho folk singing has spread and become a beauty in the cultural life of the community. This affirms that the people of Bac Ninh - the creators of Quan folk singing, have effectively promoted the arts in contemporary society, worthy of being an intangible cultural heritage of humanity./.
