He made the statement when being received on November 23rd by Tat Thanh Cang, a member of 12th PCC and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee.

According to Mr. Lee Si-hyung, cultural exchanges help the two peoples understand each other, thus promoting the comprehensive cooperative relationship between the two countries.

He showed his happiness about the increasing economic cooperation between the RoK and Vietnam, including that between Ho Chi Minh city and Korean localities. “The RoK will continue to cooperate with Vietnam in climate change mitigation, population and education,” he said.

During the reception, Mr Tat Thanh Cang appreciated the role of Korean diplomatic agencies in boosting comprehensive cooperation between the two countries over the past 25 years, adding he hoped that the effective coordination between the two countries’ diplomatic agencies would continue in carrying out cultural exchanges.

He confirmed that diplomatic activities, especially the establishment of the cooperative relationship between Ho Chi Minh city and Korean localities, had helped Ho Chi Minh city learn from the experience of the RoK.

“We hope that  the RoK will continue to support Ho Chi Minh city in building new-style rural areas, boosting the application of technologies into production, and developing agricultural productive cooperatives,” he said./.
