Various activities mark 320 years of Sai Gon-Ho Chi Minh city

The Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee has just agreed to organize a ceremony to mark 320 years since the establishment of Sai Gon-Ho Chi Minh city (1698-2018) with the theme "Sai Gon – Cho Lon – Gia Dinh – Ho Chi Minh city – 320 years of aspiration of rising up”.

The Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee also agreed to organize a 3D art light show at the building of the city People’s Committee and Binh Tay Market in District 6.
The Department of Culture and Sports is assigned to build a plan to organize the event in collaboration with activities to welcome New Year 2019. The event will be held in December 2018.
In addition, the department will also collaborate with relevant agencies to make a plan to organize a book week “Sai Gon - Ho Chi Minh city 320 years”; develop special tours to welcome 320 years since the establishment of the city and welcome the 7,000,000th international visitor to the city; organize festival, symposium and exhibition on the construction and development of the city, as well as promote the people’s creativity during the integration process./.
