The 10 balloons are from the Netherlands, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, with various new shapes like hearts, octopus and chicken.
This is the third time the International Hot Air Ballon Festival has been organized in the ancient capital of Vietnam, and becomes a main activity of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019.
Ballooning Media Co. said Hue is an ideal place to organize the world class air balloon festival. International pilots are very impressed with the space and landscapes like ancient citadels, Huong River, forested mountains, rice fields and lagoons which are not inferior to anywhere around the world.
On the sideline, in order to create opportunities for people, especially youth, to study about the operation of hot air balloons, there will be exchanges between youth and pilots.
The Hue Traditional Craft Festival, themed “the Quintessence of Vietnamese Crafts”, will be held from April 26th to May 2nd, 2019, with various cultural and historic programs such as the 230th anniversary of Nguyen Hue’s victory over the Qing army (1789 - 2019), the 120th anniversary of establishing Hue town (July 12th, 1899 - 2019), the 120th anniversary of constructing Dong Ba Market and Truong Tien Bridge, and more.
The event aims to introduce unique products; for example, jewelry, embroidery, painted enamel, bronze casting, Ao dai, wood, ceramic, bamboo products, conical hat, paper flowers, painting, lanterns, kites, and gastronomy of Hue traditional crafts and craft villages, and other provinces and cities in Vietnam and overseas./.
